Getting My Start with Heritage & Hart (Part II)

Getting My Start with Heritage & Hart (Part II)

Hello Beautiful

I am absolutely ecstatic that you have chosen to tune into my post this week. Whether this is your first or second visit, I really hope you find this as entertaining as I do. As discussed last week, my boss lady friend Whitney really helped me pull a Nike (Just do it!) and fulfill this desire. I showed you quite a few of the pieces off of her site www.shopheritagehart.com and intend to show you a few more lovelies this weekend.

What I am more excited about this is the entertainment value of some of these photos. While we were able to get some gorgeous shots from our corridor in the Fayetteville square, we also captured some great blooper reels with confetti. Can you say Confetti Challenged?

First off, I think it's very important to introduce you to the boss lady herself. She's fierce, fashionable, and a total babe. I'm super thankful for her friendship and this fun, creative partnership we are building.

Isn's she gorg? A little background, she built the plan for Heritage and Hart while she was in college. She decided not to let her solid business proposal go to waste. Because of this you now have access to dozens of fabulous, AFFORDABLE pieces. With loads more to come!

Wearing: Dress, Red Velvet (Vanna Velvet Shift Dress - $26) Necklace (22 Designs - Craving a Latte Necklace - $28) Coat, White and Black ( Oh La La Jacket - $40) Kimono, Black (Loco Kimono - $28) Dress, Floral (Floral Frenzy Velvet Dress - $32)

The above ensemble was the very first outfit that I shot. I was incredibly awkward in these photos. I remember thinking 'How do these bloggers do it? How do they maneuver their bodies so that the photos are flawless?' About 5 minutes into it, I felt like Gigi Hadid. As you can see, Danny Distressed Denim made a comeback this week as we worked to try and feature all H&H items.

Wearing: Top (Olive Everything About You High-Low Top - $28) Bottoms (Danny Distressed Acid Wash Denim - $38)

Plaid is the best way to jump into this season on-trend and looking flyer than a Motha... OOPs! Gotta keep this PG guys. But seriously, the colors on this plaid are beautiful. We also featured another custom necklace from 22 Designs. So simple and unique.

So Whit and I decided to get a little more adventurous here. We didn't care about the looks we were getting from the pedestrians passing by. We were able to pack up our blanket pallet with just one more outfit to go and venture over to the Old Post Office with this beautiful vinery. What's even more beautiful? It's the scallop on this dress. HOLY MOLY.

Last but not least, the moment you have been waiting for. As I'm writing this post, I realized there were actually some cute gems in this block. Regardless, Whitney and I realized we are really bad at glitter and confetti execution. There were so many attempts at making "cute" confetti pictures. My favorite is of us trying to recycle the confetti by picking it off the ground (scroll right). It's super classy to say the least. Another learning from this experience is stick with the tissue paper confetti chunks. In this montage you will notice that I attempted a glitter photo. What you don't realize is the glitter was wind-blown directly back at me. The rest of the afternoon was plagued with shiny little glitter pieces all over my face and hands. It was great.

Can't wait to blog over the next few weeks. I'm jet setting off to Los Angeles next week and already have plans for the fantastic content to come. I hope you have a great Halloween weekend. Be safe - XOXO!

I must give a special shout out to our helpful photographer who did not hesitate to yell "BE CUTER" during our photos. She shall remain faceless because she would totally KILL me for posting a photo of her for the world to see. Thanks Ainsley. LOVE YOU!
